Barroca da Malhada is a historic estate located in Beira Interior, the most mountainous region of Portugal. Once belonging to the Viscounts of Tinalhas, its origins trace back to the Middle Ages. With 5 hectares of vineyards planted on clay-sandy soils, the estate produces artisanal wines through low-intervention winemaking, organic vineyard management and biodynamic practices. For this blend, the finest component wines from the 2024 harvest were carefully selected – those aged in the best barrels (with varying toast levels), the best stainless steel tanks and the best amphorae.

Tasting Notes
An intense, structured and powerful red with strong gastronomic appeal. Deep garnet colour. Exceptional on the nose: the elegance of ripe fruit intertwined with layered nuances of barrel toast and amphora earthiness.
On the palate, the wine truly shines – despite its youth, it already shows impressive depth and presence. It calls for time, yet finishes long, revealing its full vigour with every sip.
Best enjoyed with rich, flavourful dishes – above all, slow-cooked meats.
