The Almeida Garrett family built their winery in 1856 in Tortosendo and has been producing quality wine ever since. With the advent of the Republic in the early 20th century, the family emigrated to France and, upon their return, planted the first Chardonnay vines in the region – a variety that has since become emblematic of the family estate. Over the years, the estate has diversified its agricultural production and is today the oldest producer in the region, with around 44 ha of vineyards, now managed by the 4th and 5th generations of the family. VINIFICATION Grapes are hand-harvested into 15 kg crates, fully destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. This is followed by a long maceration and gentle pressing Aged for 9 months in used French oak barrels

A vibrant aroma, highlighting the harmony of red and black fruits intertwined with toasted oak notes, cocoa and a touch of spice.

On the palate, it is beautifully balanced, combining elegant tannins with wild berry flavours, subtle oak influence and a refreshing acidity that envelops the wine’s body
