This is a wine of great finesse and precision, with smoky notes enveloping orange and grapefruit fruit and a taut, crisp finish. It pairs well with fish and seafood (roasted and grilled fish, cod, sautéed scallops), white meats (chicken, turkey, and braised rabbit), pasta, and risottos. Vegetarian dishes (grilled and roasted vegetables, savory tarts). Cheeses and appetizers (soft cheeses and a light charcuterie platter).

The 2023 wine-growing year in the Castelo Rodrigo subregion of Beira Interior was marked by atypical weather conditions, which were nonetheless favorable for organic wine production. Rainfall was heavily concentrated in the first months of the year—January, February, and March—which contributed to good soil moisture reserves and significantly reduced the risk of disease during the critical phase of the growing season, promoting the health of the grapes.
This wine undergoes a very short aging period on fermentation lees, and 15% of the blend is aged in new 500-liter barrels. Small quantities of grapes from
previous vintages are added during the blending process,
which contribute greater complexity and body.
