Barroca da Malhada is a historic estate located in Beira Interior, the most mountainous region of Portugal. Once belonging to the Viscounts of Tinalhas, its origins trace back to the Middle Ages. With 5 hectares of vineyards planted on clay-sandy soils, the estate produces artisanal wines through low-intervention winemaking, organic vineyard management and biodynamic practices. Artisanal wine, hand-harvested, with spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention in the winery. A fusion of three ageing stages: second-use Portuguese oak barrels, amphora and stainless steel.

Tasting Notes
An intense, fresh and well-balanced clarete-style wine.
A beautiful, crystalline red colour.
On the nose, it bursts with aromas: fresh notes of mint and strawberry balanced by secondary nuances reminiscent of brioche and vanilla.
On the palate, it shows fresh red berries, earthy nuances and a lively, mouth-watering juiciness.
Suggested pairings: tomato and basil risotto, soft cheeses and sashimi. Recommended serving temperature: 12-14 ºC
