Vine growing and winemaking are a proud and long-standing tradition for the Ferraz family, who own approximately 20?ha of vineyards – about 5?ha in the parish of Horta do Douro in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in the heart of Douro Superior, and the remaining 15?ha in Vale Flor in the municipality of Mêda, part of the Beira Interior wine region with a Protected Designation of Origin. Vine Age / Altitude Between 60 and 80 years old, planted at 600 m of altitude, east-facing, dry-farmed, and rooted in mountain soils. The vineyards are currently in conversion to certified organic production.

Tasting Notes: Light ruby colour. Delicate aromas of cherry and blackberry, with balsamic and slightly herbal nuances. Very fresh on the palate, with a fine, delicate texture and a long finish marked by a subtle hint of spice and toast. An eclectic Baga to enjoy now, though we believe it is well worth setting aside a few bottles to revisit over time.

Serving Temperature: 16-18 ºC

Oenology: José Brandão
