Barroca da Malhada Arinto White 2023

Barroca da Malhada is a historic estate located in Beira Interior, the most mountainous region of Portugal. Once belonging to the Viscounts of Tinalhas, its origins trace back to the Middle Ages. With 5 hectares of vineyards planted on clay-sandy soils, the estate produces artisanal wines through low-intervention winemaking, organic vineyard management and biodynamic practices. Fermented in third-use Portuguese chestnut barrels at controlled temperatures, followed by 7 months of ageing on full lees.

Tasting Notes
Straw-yellow in colour, with golden highlights that clearly reflect the influence of the barrel.
On the nose, it shows impressive complexity: subtle toasty notes and brioche aligned with the citrus character typical of the variety.
On the palate, it is rich and textural, with acidity driving the profile and wrapped in creaminess and vibrant freshness. Still very young, with excellent ageing potential.
Exceptionally versatile at the table.
