An excellent partner for roasted meats, game dishes, traditional charcuterie and cheeses – especially the classic Beira Baixa yellow cheese.

Serve at 18 °C, and allow time for the wine to open up; it benefits greatly from early opening and subsequent decanting.

A full-bodied wine with an intense garnet colour. On the nose it combines aromas of red fruits, dried wildflowers and Mediterranean scrub. The noble oak in which it aged contributes spicy notes that are present without being dominant. It fills the palate, with firm yet elegant tannins providing excellent structure, and a long, pleasing finish.
