Quinta do Cardo is the most historic wine estate in the Beira Interior region, located between the protected landscape of the Douro International Reserve and the historic village of Castelo Rodrigo, at an altitude of around 750 metres. Its 180 hectares include forest, cork oak groves and about 80 hectares of vineyards, certified organic since 2009. The estate is a carefully preserved ecosystem that promotes biodiversity and the development of native flora and fauna, contributing to the creation of authentic wines with a strong sense of terroir.
