GRAPES: The grapes were vinified at our Quinta das Marvalhas winery in Almendra. We selected grapes grown in our vineyards in Beira Interior, in the Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo subregion, from the following grape varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, and Alfrocheiro.
HARVEST: In the Beira Interior region where we are located, there was abundant rainfall and low temperatures during the winter and spring, which caused a delay in the
vegetative cycle. The hot, dry summer led to some inconsistency in ripening, requiring rigorous, nearly daily monitoring in the field to determine the ideal point of ripeness of the grapes and the optimal time for harvest.
As a result, we produced wines with great aromatic expression that are balanced, fresh, and have good acidity.
