Barroca da Malhada is a historic estate located in Beira Interior, the most mountainous region of Portugal. Once belonging to the Viscounts of Tinalhas, its origins trace back to the Middle Ages. With 5 hectares of vineyards planted on clay-sandy soils, the estate produces artisanal wines through low-intervention winemaking, organic vineyard management and biodynamic practices. Ageing in stainless steel tanks and first-use Portuguese oak barrels

Tasting Notes
Garnet in colour. An aromatic nose with notes of ripe, stewed fruit subtly intertwined with spicy and toasty nuances. Intense on the palate, with robust tannins and
well-integrated acidity, leading to a long and elegant finish.
It calls for slow-cooked dishes, especially meat-based recipes.
