Barroca da Malhada is a historic estate located in Beira Interior, the most mountainous region of Portugal. Once belonging to the Viscounts of Tinalhas, its origins trace back to the Middle Ages. With 5 hectares of vineyards planted on clay-sandy soils, the estate produces artisanal wines through low-intervention winemaking, organic vineyard management and biodynamic practices. Ageing takes place in stainless steel tanks, first-use Portuguese oak barrels, third-use Portuguese chestnut barrels and amphorae.

Tasting Notes
An intense, structured and powerful red with strong gastronomic appeal. Deep violet-ruby in colour. A very rich aroma, where ripe black fruit merges with balsamic and earthy nuances.
On the palate, it is full and deep, with well-integrated tannins that faithfully echo the aromas perceived on the nose. A wine with real chew and presence.
Pairs beautifully with lamb, slow-cooked meats or mushroom risotto.
