Quinta dos Termos is a family owned, wine producing D.O.C. Beira Interior, at the foot of Serra da Estrela. The vines are planted at an altitude of 500 meters, with southern exposure, on poor granitic soils that favor premium grape maturation. This terroir indelibly marks the wines of Quinta dos Terms, where 18 red grape varieties are grown, such as Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, Rufete, Jaen, Tinta Roriz, Marufo, Tinto Cão, Alfrocheiro, Baga, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, and 6 white grape varieties, such as Fonte Cal, Síria, Arinto, Verdelho and Riesling. The winery is equipped with sophisticated technology and is certified in Integrated Production – ecological wines, heeding very traditional techniques. The aging of red wines is done by aging in French and Hungarian oak barrels, over several months, according to the varieties and the wine concept. The result of nature's excellence combined with strict technical control appears in the form of nectar capable of captivating the coldest hearts.
