Rodolfo Queirós re-elected for a third term

The current president of the Beira Interior Regional Wine Commission (CVR Beira Interior), Rodolfo Queirós, has been re-elected for a third term.
The board also includes Agostinho Monteiro and Tiago Cristóvão, representing Production and Trade, respectively. The president of the General Council, José Madeira Afonso, has likewise been re-elected for a third term.
Originally from Marco de Canaveses, Rodolfo Queirós holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Escola Superior Agrária de Viseu and a postgraduate qualification in Wine Marketing from the Escola Superior Agrária de Ponte de Lima. He also holds a WSET Level 3 diploma and works as a trainer for Turismo de Portugal. He is also president of the Associação das Rotas de Vinho de Portugal (ARVP) and a board member of the Associação Nacional das Denominações de Origem Vitivinícolas (National Association of Wine Designations of Origin – ANDOVI).
The main goals of the new term are to “strengthen the region’s profile, increase sales of Beira Interior DO and IG Terras da Beira wines at home and abroad, and develop regional wine tourism, with a particular emphasis on the ‘Beira InteriorWine Villages’ project.”
